By downloading, browsing, or using the Spottube application or this website (collectively referred to as the “Service”), these terms will automatically apply to you. You should make sure that you read them carefully before using the Service.

The Service is provided as an Android music and video player, free of charge, and intended for use “as is.” Read the Privacy Policy and Copyrights page together with these terms.

License to Use #

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app for personal, non-commercial listening and viewing, subject to these terms and the Google Play terms.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app; reverse engineer or extract its source code except as allowed by law; create unauthorized derivative works; or bypass security or technical limits.

Description of the Service #

Spottube lets you search, browse, and play music, podcasts, and videos, with features such as background playback, synced lyrics, an equalizer, Android Auto, and picture-in-picture.

Spottube does not host, own, or control the tracks, videos, artwork, titles, or channel information you play. That material belongs to its rights holders and is reached through third-party platforms. Availability can change or stop at any time.

Spottube is an independent Android product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify, YouTube, Google, Android, or the open-source Spotube project.

YouTube & API Services #

The app may use YouTube API Services and other third-party APIs for search, metadata, and playback. Those features are also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

YouTube or other platforms may change, limit, or shut down their APIs. That can affect what Spottube can play. We are not responsible for those changes.

Restrictions on Use #

You agree not to use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You are explicitly prohibited from:

• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate another person’s rights.
• Copying, recording, extracting, or redistributing third-party content in a way that infringes copyright or breaks the source platform’s terms.
• Circumventing DRM, access controls, or other technical protections.
• Using bots, scrapers, or other automated tools against the app or connected services.
• Attempting to disrupt, compromise, or overload the Service.
• Impersonating Spottube or distributing altered, malicious copies of the application under our name.

You are responsible for keeping your device and access to the Service secure. If you download installation packages from unofficial third-party websites instead of the official Google Play listing, we accept no responsibility for security risks, malware, or altered application performance.

Google Play and Payments #

Spottube is intended as a free Android app on Google Play. If paid features are offered later, they will be charged through Google Play, described in the store listing, and renewed or cancelled under Google Play’s subscription rules. Refunds, where available, are handled by Google Play.

The app and website do not currently show third-party ads. If ads are added, this page will be updated.

Intellectual Property #

The Spottube name, logo, site design, and app interface (other than third-party content played through the app) are owned by us or licensed to us. You are not allowed to use our trademarks, logos, or brand identity in a way that suggests an official endorsement, sponsorship, or association without prior written consent.

YouTube, Google Play, Android, and other third-party names remain the property of their owners.

Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties #

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SPOTTUBE OR ITS OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SERVICE.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device; that any feature will remain available; or that third-party APIs or a particular track or video will stay reachable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Termination #

We may suspend or end access to the Service if you break these terms, misuse the app, create legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the product. On termination the license ends and you must stop using the app.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions #

We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any modifications. Changes are effective immediately upon being published on this page. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard by the courts that have jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
